The San Marcos Civic Center Theatre and the Broadway Theatre will present “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. The show will feature an adult cast performing a non-stop song and dance review of holiday music that is suitable for all ages.

The city of San Marcos will also present its 15th annual Santa's Magical Village at the San Marcos Civic Center, 1 Civic Center Drive on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tickets for all ages are $8 presale and $10 at the door. Presale tickets may be purchased at the San Marcos Community Center or the San Marcos Senior Center.

The event will feature a variety of handmade gift items, an indoor holiday boutique, as well as free activities for children including ornament making, sand art, decorating holiday candles and more! Entertainment including elves, bands and holiday carolers will be featured throughout the weekend. Food will be available for purchase on both days.

The spectacular lighting of the San Marcos holiday tree will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 6:30 p.m. Santa Claus will have the honor of climbing to the top of the tree and turning on the thousands of twinkling lights. Entertainment for the tree lighting ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm.

Breakfast with Santa will be held on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., in the Community Center. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children and may be purchased at the door. Pictures with Santa will also be available.
